Favorite Granola

This nutty granola recipe is a family favorite! You really can't beat homemade! Healthy, with the ability to change up some of the ingredients to your liking depending on what you have on hand, it couldn't be simpler to make! This recipe usually makes about 4½ cups - but it's so good I guarantee your family will eat it up so fast, you'll probably want to be doubling (or tripling!) the recipe!
Course: Breakfast
Cuisine: American

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Old-fashioned Gluten-Free Rolled Oats
  • ½ cup Chopped Walnuts
  • ½ cup Chopped Almonds
  • ½ cup Chopped Pecans
  • ½ cup Pure Organic Maple Syrup
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp Organic Ground Cinnamon We love cinnamon so I'll use even more than 2 tsp sometimes!
  • ½ cup Organic Raisins You can substitute dried cranberries also!
  • Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil Cooking Spray

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 300℉
  2. Cover a large baking sheet with parchment paper and mist with the Organic Coconut Oil Spray
  3. In a medium-sized bowl, dump in all of your ingredients, mixing well so that everything gets coated with the maple syrup
  4. Spread out evenly on your baking sheet and bake for about 30 minutes or until golden brown, stirring occasionally
  5. Transfer your baking sheet to a wire rack and let cool completely
  6. Enjoy your delicious homemade granola!
  7. Store in airtight container for about 2 weeks

Notes

I've always loved that this recipe is flexible. You can substitute in and out your favorite nuts, or cranberries for the raisins if you like - as long as you keep pretty much the same ratio of ingredients your granola will turn out great! My kids love to help bake granola. IT couldn't be easier and it's quick to put together. Just grab all your ingredients and you'll be eating your homemade granola in no time!
Around the holidays, we love to make huge batches and package them up for friends and family! You can also add in some festive additions such as dark chocolate chips (after the granola has fully cooled of course!) and cranberries, as I mentioned earlier! This will help make the granola special and the colors will be oh so pretty!
Just a warning: this granola is addictive!
