WACKADOO!!!!
Everybody Loooooves Bluey!
What kid doesn’t love Bluey?!! When my Ellie was turning 5, she requested a Bluey birthday party and I couldn’t be more excited to get behind this theme! As a family we had already seen all of the seasons numerous times, and fell in love with this lovable blue heeler! Learn how you too can host your own Adorable DIY Bluey Party that’s super easy AND affordable: For Real Life!
Adorable DIY BLUEY Decor
This party took place in February. It was very CHILI out (HAHA get it?!), so unfortunately we were stuck in the house. I rounded up all of our Bluey toys, which included a bunch of Bluey and friends plush animals. With them, I decorated our mantle adding Ellie’s Bluey birthday invitation on display in a frame. I also made a circular printout of Bluey and stuck it inside of the wreath that I already had hanging up.
Next to all of the stuffed animals I set out a sweet photograph of my daughter along with a big “E” for her name. My other daughter created some customized Bluey birthday artwork for her sister, so I added that up there also. I always love personal touches including my own children’s artwork as part of any party decor! I hung some light purple and blue streamers around our living room area, as well as the dining room where we would later host the craft and eat yummy cupcakes! Little Bluey figurines were placed all around the house.

Setting the BLUEY Atmosphere
As guests arrived, they could hear the Bluey soundtrack playing in the background. It always helps having music at any party to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere!
I hung a cute Bluey banner on our wooden pallet in our dining room that includes a bunch of the characters from the show. Pink, blue and white balloons adorn the downstairs of our house. I purchase a fun Bluey tablecloth, napkins and plates.
BLUEY Party Favors
I put out the party favors for our guests on display at the dessert table. Bluey party favors were buckets with shovels that I found at our local dollar store. Inside of the buckets was a printout coloring page of Bluey and friends each with an individual package of glitter crayons!
DIY BLUEY Party Photo Op/Pin the Tail on Bluey Game
As usual, my mom created an adorable sign/photo op featuring Bluey for our party! Since my husband shares a birthday month with Ellie, she added his name as well! LOL. This sign also served as an activity for our party: “Pin the Tail on Bluey!” Ellie’s little preschool-aged friends had a blast playing as we blindfolded them and spun each of them around.
“Life’s more fun when you’re silly.” – Bluey
BLUEY Craft Table
For an easy and colorful painting craft, I purchased these simple wooden frames that are just the perfect size for holding Instax mini film photos. I provided acrylic paint and smocks, gems, jewels and stickers, as well as these cute Bluey stickers! Guest were invited to customize the frames however they wished. Once finished, we added a snapshot of them with the birthday girl! My oldest daughter loved being the “official” photographer – taking all of the pictures with her instant camera. So special! They all enjoyed this so much and had a wonderful personalized picture frame to remember this party always!
“The world is brighter with you in it.” – Chilli
“The best adventures are the ones we have together.” – Bluey
Easy BLUEY Cupcakes
I decided to keep the dessert simple and just made gluten-free organic vanilla cupcakes with my favorite store-bought organic icing, colored the icing with my go-to natural food coloring, then added these silly and fun Bluey cupcake toppers!
Custom Birthday Girl Bluey Shirt
I purchased this cute custom Bluey t-shirt for my birthday girl to wear on her party day from Etsy. Years later and she still sports this shirt from time to time!
