I’ve always been a big fan of Valentine’s Day… Who doesn’t love a day that’s all about LOVE?!! And any excuse really, to have a party. That’s how I look at things! So back when my oldest was in preschool, I had the idea of inviting over her precious little preschool girlfriends to celebrate…So of course it turned into a “Galentine’s Party”, and the sweetest one at that! My friends and I still talk about this party many years later. Read on to see how you can host your own delightful Galentine’s Party for littles!

Galentine’s Day Photo Op & Props

How adorable are these?! Girls loved posing for the camera with these silly photo props. Here are some props I found that are similar to the ones we used. Heart shaped shades and headbands completed the look.

DIY Galentine’s Desserts

Homemade cupcakes, cookies, chocolate covered strawberries, raspberries and chocolates were all on the menu for this party. My girls helped me make the baked goods and enjoyed being part of the party prep, as usual. Pink lemonade served in mason jars with twisty straws that say “LOVE” on them were a huge hit. These heart-shaped ones were the closest I could find to them. We also had Valentine’s-themed paper straws.

Super Easy DIY Galentine’s Table Decor

For this celebration, I simply placed dainty doilies with heart-shaped plates and napkins on top of some leftover red wrapping paper that I used as a table runner. I utilized any and all things that I could find around the house: pink, red and girly! On a chalkboard we wrote “You are SO Loved!” This was the main goal of our party: to make every girl feel special and loved!

Galentine’s Cookie Decorating

valentines cookies spelling letters love with heart shapes

Leading up to the party, my girls and I bake our favorite sugar cookies in heart shapes and using cookie cutter letters spelling out the word “L-O-V-E”. We use them for cookie decorating and provide an assortment of Valentine’s sprinkles, candies like conversation hearts and M&M’s, pink, red and white icing colors so that each guest can customize their own cookies to take home and share with their families! We provide cute little take-home boxes. Of course many of these cookies never make it all the way home!

Galentine’s Party Craft

For another activity besides cookie decorating, I purchased wooden heart bead kits for the girls to create their own necklaces. This was such a fun and relaxing activity for kids and moms alike as the moms all sat around chatting and getting to know each other better!

I hope this has perhaps inspired you to have your own special Galentine’s Party for your little ones this upcoming February! As always, you can find more Fern Party inspiration here.
